A Sciency Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America anunciou os vencedores dos Nebula Awards relativos ao que de melhor se fez em ficção científica e fantasia em 2016. Os vencedores foram anunciados a 20 de Maio de 2017 em Pittsburgh, na Pensilvânia. O Prémio Kate Wilhelm Solstice foi atribuído a Toni Weisskopf e a Peggy Rae Sapenza. Chegou finalmente a encomenda feita no início de Janeiro. Estes estão mesmo todos novos e alguns deles já estavam na lista de encomendas há muito tempo.

All the Birds in the Sky da Charlie Jane Anders fez parte de muitas das listas dos melhores livros de fantasia e ficção cinetífica de 2016, vamos lá ver se o alarido se justifica.
Dreamsnake da Vonda N. McIntyre é um romance de 1978 que venceu o prémio Hugo, o Nebula e o Locus.
Herland é uma utopia de 1915 escrito pela feminista Charlotte Perkins Gilman que já estava na minha lista há muito tempo e finalmente pude beneficiar do preço reduzido desta edição no Book Depository, pois estava a menos de três euros.
Solaris, do polaco Stanislaw Lem é um livro de ficção científica filosófico que já foi adaptado ao cinema várias vezes, sendo a versão mais conhecida e aclamada, o Solaris de Andrei Tarkovsky de 1972.

The Three-Body Problem é um romance de ficção científica que se tornou um sucesso na China e que faz parte da trilogia Remembrance of Earth's Part de Liu Cixin. O livro recebeu o Chinese Science Fiction Galaxy Award e venceu o prémio Hugo em 2015.

O Doomsday Book (1992) é uma romance sobre viagens no tempo escrito pela Connie Willis que venceu o prémio Hugo e o Nebula. O livro faz parte de uma trilogia que conta ainda com To Say Nothing of the Dog e Blackout/All Clear.
