Vencedores

A grande noite da televisão teve lugar a 17 de Setembro de 2018 e os grandes vencedores foram revelados com Game of Thrones como Melhor Série Dramática, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel como Melhor Série de Comédia, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story como Melhor Série Limitada e Black Mirror: USS Callister como Melhor Filme Televisivo.

Os Emmys fizeram 70 anos numa cerimónia, que teve lugar no Microsoft Theaterin em Downtown Los Angeles, na California, e que foi apresentada por Michael Che e Colin Jost com transmissão no canal NBC. A Academy of Television Arts & Sciences entregou os prémios pelos melhores programas que passaram na televisão nos Estados Unidos entre 01 de Junho de 2017 e 31 de Maio de 2018. Vencedores 2016

Algumas surpresas na 68.ª cerimónia de entrega dos Emmys, os prémios de celebram o que melhor se fez na televisão de 1 de Junho de 2015 a 31 de Maio de 2016, cujos vencedores são escolhidos pela Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. A cerinmónia foi apresentada por Jimmy Kimmel e teve lugar no Microsoft Theater em Downtown Los Angeles, na Califórnia, com transmissão no canal ABC.

A série Game of Thrones venceu na categoria de Melhor Série Dramática e levou também alguns prémios de argumento e realização, mas desta vez não venceu nada nas categorias de representação. A série também se tornou a mais galadoarda de sempre com um total de 38 Emmys. Rami Malek foi o Melhor Actor Dramático por Mr. Robot, mas a grande surpresa foi quando Tatiana Maslany venceu como Melhor Actriz Dramática por Orphan Black.

Outra grande surpresa foi a série The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, que venceu cinco Emmys, incluindo Melhor Série Limitada, Sarah Poulson como Melhor Actriz, Courtney B. Vance como Melhor Actor e Sterling K. Brown como Melhor Actor Secundário na categoria de Série Limitada ou Filme Televisivo. Regina King venceu como Melhor Actriz Secundária por American Crime.

Veep, a série da HBO foi a grande vencedora na categoria de comédia levando o Emmy de Melhor Comédia e Julia Louis-Dreyfus levou o prémio de Melhor Actriz de Comédia pela quinta vez consecutiva. Jeffrey Tambor venceu o Emmy de Melhor Actor de Comédia por Transparent. Nas categorias secundárias, Kate McKinnon venceu por Saturday Night Live e Louie Anderson venceu por Baskets.

Destaque ainda para o Melhor Filme Televisivo, cujo Emmy foi para Sherlock: The Abominable Bride e para a Melhor Série de Variedade Talk Series com o Last Week Tonight With John Oliver a ser o grande vencedor. Os canais HBO e o FX foram os grandes vencedores, cada um com seis Emmys. Em termos de apresentação, Jimmy Kimmel fez um trabalho exemplar, mas nada de extraordinário nem de piadas demasiado controversas e houve bastante diversidade nos vencedores.

No painel da Comic Con de Game of Thrones apresentado por Seth Meyers estiveram presentes Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Carice van Houten (Melisandre), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy a.k.a. Reek), Hannah Murray (Gilly), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Carolyn Strauss (produtora), David Nutter (realizador de dois episódios). Os actores da Game of Thrones foram simplesmente passear à Comic Con, num painel um pouco inútil, uma vez que ninguém sabe nada do que vai acontecer na próxima temporada, mas serviu para fazer as delícias dos fãs da série que fizeram bastantes perguntas aos actores. A série favorita do grande público e que trouxe a fantasia épica para a ribalta na televisão está de volta para a quinta temporada. A grande novidade em Game of Thrones é que vamos finalmente até Dorne, a parte de Westeros que ainda não tinha sido visitada na série. Para além disso vamos começar a ver o desenrolar de algumas partes na história que o autor George R.R. Martin ainda não escreveu nos livros (o próximo volume da série A Song of Ice and Fire, Winds of Winter só deve sair em 2016 se tivermos sorte) o que me leva a pensar seriamente se devo ver a série ou não, uma vez que normalmente prefiro ler os livros antes de ver as adaptações. Contudo, há parte que estou com muita curiosidade para ver, nomeada mente uma cena que diz respeito à Cersei e uma outra cena que diz respeito ao Jon Snow e o desenrolar de alguns acontecimentos no Norte, e ainda uma parte da Daenerys, embora a coisa no livro se torne um pouco secante, vais ser giro um dos dragões em acção (claro, partindo do principio que vão seguir esses acontecimentos como no livro). Também já sabemos que algumas das personagens habituais não vão ser vistas nesta quinta temporada, como é o caso de Bran Stark, cuja história avançou demasiado na quarta temporada. Para quem é fã da série é aproveitar o seu regresso, para quem é fã dos livros ainda vai ter de roer muito as unhas à espera do próximo volume.

Séries - Estreias e Regressos

O mês de Abril trás algumas estreias, mas também vários regressos. Entre os regressos está a estreia da tão aguardada quinta temporada de Game of Thrones, o regresso da segunda parte da primeira temporada de Outlander e a segunda parte da sétima temporada de Mad Men, que chega ao final este ano. Salem regressa para uma segunda temporada, Orphan Black para uma terceira temporada e Lost Girl chega com a sua quinta e última temporada. Nas estreias, destaque para American Odyssey no canal NBC, Wolf Hall (que já tinha passado na BBC Two) no canal PBS, The Messengers no canal CW e o também muito aguardado Daredevil no canal Netflix, cuja temporada estreia toda no mesmo dia.

Game of Thrones foi picar o ponto à Comic-Con onde mostrou os bloopers da quarta temporada, apresentou novos actores para a próxima temporada e levou alguns dos actores preferidos da série e  George R. R. Martin que estiveram à conversa no painel da série. Os actores mais aplaudidos foram Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) e Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell).

Pessoalmente, quero é ler Winds of Winter que nunca mais aparece, e enquanto isso a história vai acabar por ser ultrapassada na televisão, principalmente para algumas personagens mais cedo do que outras. Como não gostei de algumas opções que foram feitas nesta e nas temporadas anteriores, estou com vários pés atrás em relação ao que esperar do futuro da série. De qualquer forma, a única certeza que tenho é que tenho de reler os livros todos quando Winds of Winter estiver quase a sair!

Alguém se lembrou de adaptar a música "Let It Go" de Frozen à série Game of Thrones. O resultado até está engraçado.

Depois da versão dos The National, a música "The Rains of Castamere" volta a ser interpretada para a série Game of Thrones (quarta temporada), agora pela banda islandesa Sigur Rós. A música foi retirada dos livros A Song of Ice and Fire, onde é cantada e mencionada várias vezes. Na série, a música passou no episódio "Blackwater" (escrito pelo próprio George R. R. Martin) da segunda temporada. O episódio "The Lion and the Rose" passa hoje no canal SyFy. Este segundo episódio da quarta temporada da série tem gerado muitos comentários de felicidade na Internet. Game of Thrones tornou-se uma das séries mais populares dos últimos anos e muita gente já aguarda pela nova temporada com muito entusiasmo. Como já tinha referido, a adaptação da terceira e quarta temporada correspondem ao meu livro preferido de George R. R. Martin, A Storm of Swords. O livro de Martin é dos que tem mais mortes e reviravoltas interessantes até agora, para além disso mostra as peripécias de Tyrion Lannister, uma sas minhas personagens preferidas, e mostra uma evolução regular e intensa em todas os cantos de Westeros, tendo como ponto alto a fuga de Tyrion, a ascenção de Jon Snow com a ajuda do malabarismo de Sam e um epílogo que ninguém estava à espera. Creio que foram as 1128 páginas que li com maior entusiasmo dos últimos anos. 

  

A promoção da HBO à série está a ser grande e os trailer promocionais mostram um pouco do que vem por aí. No entanto, foi um trailer feito por uma fã de Game of Thrones que apareceu na Internet que melhor promoveu a série. O trailer mostra uma montagem com a junção das imagens do primeiro e do segundo trailer ao som da música "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" de Lorde, originalmente da banda Tears for Fears.

A HBO revelou o primeiro trailer da quarta temporada de Game of Thrones desvendando um pouco o que virá por aí. E vai acontecer muita coisa. 

Esta temporada visa os acontecimentos da segunda parte do terceiro livro A Storm of Swords. Haverá um casamento real, morte, prisão, combates, batalhas, dragões, fugas... tantos acontecimentos! 

Este foi o meu livro preferido do Martin até agora e já li algures que a série não vai seguir o livro completamente (algo que já esperava), mas espero que tenha aqueles momentos que são fulcrais para a história e que tornaram o livro o melhor até agora.

Gostei da música do trailer. Trata-se de "Feral Love" da Chelsea Wolfe. Abaixo fica o trailer.

A quarta temporada da série Game of Thrones já tem data de estreia marcada para 6 de Abril nos E.U.A. 

A HBO também vai lançar o primeiro trailer da nova temporada no próximo Domingo antes das estreia da série True Detective.

Resta saber quando é que o canal SyFy vai estrear a quarta temporada de Game of Thrones em Portugal.

ATENÇÃO (spoilers)   

Estreia da Terceira Temporada

Já estreou nos E.U.A. a tão aguardada terceira temporada de Game of Thrones. A adaptação televisiva daquele que é o meu livro preferido, A Storm of Swords, começou a ser emitida para grande satisfação dos fãs dos livros e da série. Resta saber se os episódios correspondem às expcetativas dos exigentes leitores da série literária que mais fãs tem encontrado ao longo dos últimos tempos. 

Adaptação

Da minha parte, duvido que consigam chegar perto do melhor livro da série A Song of Ice and Fire, escrita por George R. R. Martin. No entanto não deixo de estar expectante para ver como irão ficar algumas das partes mais marcante do livro na série televisiva, como é o caso do excruciante Red Wedding, o casamento do Geoffrey, a evolução da personagem de Tyrion que culmina com este a matar o pai numa das mortes mais fabulosas da série ou ainda o parecimento de Catelyn no epílogo.

Primeiro Episódio

Para já, estou satisfeita com este primeiro episódio. Está bastante resumido e apresenta todos os pontos de vista das personagens mais importantes. Especial atenção para a conversa entre Jon Snow e Mance Ryder e uma primeira omissão de uma batalha "Beyond the Wall". É dado um pequeno vislumbre da animosidade entre Tyrion e o pai; Margery Tyrell mostra um pouco da sua personalidade; e Daenerys chega a Astapor onde irá adquirir o exército que tanto precisa e encontra Barristan Selmy. 

Contudo, há ainda muita coisa para contar, terão de ser feitos cortes e alterações e isso pode prejudicar a adaptação para a série ser consistente com o que já foi apresentado anterionmente. De resto, é esperar para ver.
