Golden Globe Awards

Nomeações:

As nomeações para a 75.ª edição dos Golden Globe Awards foram anunciadas a 11 de Dezembro de 2017 no Beverly Hilton Hotel pelos apresentadores Alfre Woodard, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Bell e Sharon Stone, juntamente com a Presidente da Hollywood Foreign Press Association e o Vice-Presidente Executivo de televisão na Dick Clark Productions, Barry Adelman. 

Em cinema, The Shape of Water lidera com 7 nomeações, logo seguido The Post e Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, ambos com 6 nomeações. Nas categorias de televisão, a série Big Little Lies lidera com 6 nomeações, seguida de Feud: Bette and Joan com 4 nomeações, seguida de Fargo, The handmaid's Tale e This Is Us, todos com 3 nomeações cada.

Screen Actors Guild Awards

Vencedores 2017






As nomeações para os SAG Awards foram anunciadas a 14 de Dezembro de 2016 e a 23.ª Cerimónia de entrega dos Screen Actors Guild Awards teve lugar a 29 de Janeiro de 2017 com transmissão no TNT e TBS.

Embora estes prémios não sejam tão conhecidos como os Golden Globes, tiveram uma apresentação e realização bem mais bem conseguida. Hidden Figures saiu como grande vencedor da noite com o Melhor Elenco em Cinema; Stranger Things venceu como Melhor Elenco em Série Dramática; e Orange is the New Black como Melhor Elenco em Série de Comédia. 

Viola Davis (Fences) venceu o SAG de Melhor Actriz Secundádia e Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) foi o Melhor Actor Secundário, ambos sem grande surpresa. Já na categoria principal não venceu nenhum dos meus preferidos: Denzel Washington venceu por Fences, quando devia ter vencido o Viggo Mortensen por Captain Fantastic; e Emma Stone venceu por La La Land quando o prémio devia ter ido para a Amy Adams ou para a Natalie Portman.

Em televisão, os prémios de Melhor Actriz Dramática e Melhor Actor Dramático foram para Claire Foy e John Lithgow por The Crown. Julia Louis-Dreyfus venceu a categoria de Melhor Actriz de Comédia por Veep sem surpresa e William H. Macy foi o Melhor Actor de Comédia por Shameless para sua grande surpresa. Sem surpresa, Sarah Poulson venceu na categoria de Melhor Actriz em Filme Televisivo ou Série Limitada por The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Por outro lado, na mesma categoria, Bryan Cranston venceu por All The Way, quando se esperava que o prémio fosse para Sterling K. Brown ou Courtney B. Vance.
