Nem acredito que ainda não tinha colocado aqui músicas dos Nirvana. Lembro-me de ouvir o Best Of em loop sem parar, provavelmente já muito depois da maior parte da malta que gosta de Nirvana. "Come As You Are" é uma das suas músicas mais conhecidas da banda e faz parte do álbum Nevermind de 1992. O vídeo foi realizado por Kevin Kerslake e inspirou a arte da capa do álbum.

"I Melt With With", faz parte do primeiro álbum dos Nouvelle Vague que também tinha como título o nome da banda. Lembro-me de ouvir este álbum e de andar completamente obcecada por esta música, ouvindo-a em loop sem nunca me ter fartado dela. Agora posso dizer que é uma das músicas da minha vida.

Creio que ouvi esta música pela primeira vez há bastante tempo, mas só mais tarde é que me lembrei de voltar a procurá-la porque tinha a ideia de ser cantada pela LeAnn Rimes. "The Rose" é uma música linda, mas muito triste, que faz parte do álbum You Light Up My Fire de 1997, e por vezes gosto de voltar a ouvir para espicaçar a minha imaginação.

Já descobri os The Doors tarde na minha vida (vá, ainda só estou nos 30, mas não era uma banda que ouvia muito em adolescente), mas quando há uns anos finalmente me dediquei a ouvir as suas músicas, fiquei fascinada com a quantidade de sucessos e boas músicas que faziam parte da sua discografia. "People Are Strage" faz parte dos álbum Strange Days de 1967 e tornou-se uma das músicas da minha vida.

Bem, apesar de este filme, G.I. Jane, ter apenas 55% no Rotten Tomatoes e de a Demi Moore ter ganho o Razzie como Pior Actriz em 1997, confesso que na minha adolescência adorei o filme (rever o filme actualmente já tem um impacto diferente) e adorei particularmente esta música de The Pretenders que ouvi muitas vezes na cassete de vídeo onde tinha o filme gravado, o que faz de "Goodbye" uma das músicas da minha vida.

Tenho imensa dificuldade em escolher uma música preferida deste primeiro álbum da Janelle Monáe. Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase) é todo muito bom. E o estilo inconfundível de Janelle Monáe ajudou imenso ao sucesso do ábum, colocou-a no radar de muita gente. "Many Moons", juntamente com "Sincerely, Jane", foram os singles mais badalados do álbum.

Às vezes, quando não quero ouvir música no computador, coloco a TV no VH1 e apanho um pouco de tudo. Por vezes apanha-se alguns clássicos e no outro dia apanhei esta música da Maria McKee, "Show Me Heaven", que faz parte da banda sonora de Days of Thunder (1990). Em Portugal, chama-se Dias de Tempestade, o filme em que Tom Cruise conheceu a Nicole Kidman. No vídeo original, é possível ver algumas imagens do filme, mas não consegui colocar esse vídeo aqui. Eu sei que é lamechas, mas houve uma altura em que ouvia a música sem parar e, não sei bem como, ainda gosto da música.

Eu venero esta música absolutamente há tanto tempo, que não faço ideia como é que não me lembrei de falar dela aqui antes! É a minha música preferida de Cranberries e é uma das músicas mais antigas de que me lembro de adorar. "Dreams" faz parte do primeiro álbum dos Cranberries, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We Do It?, que foi lançado em 1992 e relançado em 1993 e faz parte da banda sonora de vários filmes incluindo o filme Boys on the Side (1995), assim como de algumas séries como foi o caso de My So-Called Life (1995), a série que lançou a carreira de Claire Danes.

Já alguma vez disse que o meu instrumento musical preferido é o violino? Se não disse, está na altura de confessar. E este álbum da Lindsey Stitling, em particular, é absolutamente fabuloso, consigo ouvi-lo horas a fio sem me fartar. Para além de ser uma violinista exímia, também compõe e dança e apresentou-se ao mundo através do seu canal Lindseystomp no YouTube em 2007. No entanto, seria no programa American's Got Talent que ficaria verdadeiramente conhecida quando ficou em quarto lugar na quinta temporada que passou em 2010. Para além de "Elements", destaque para "Christallize", "Shadows", "Moon Trance" e "Transcedence".

Esta música é linda e tem um significado especial para mim, principalmente pelos primeiros Verões que passei a trabalhar na Zambujeira do Mar. "Roads" faz parte do primeiro álbum de Portishead, Dummy (1994), que é um dos álbuns que nunca me farto de ouvir.

Creio que esta música já se encontra algures aqui no blogue (não tenho a certeza e já são muitos posts para ir verificar), mas esta música leva-me sempre para o meu lado mais lamechas. O filme que fez uma geração inteira de raparigas sonhar, tornou a música "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" um sucesso a nível mundial, particularmente famoso nos karaokes. O que esta música tem de particular é que nunca me cansei de a ouvir. Posso ficar algum tempo sem a ouvir, mas volta e meia, sabe bem ouvir de novo.

Mas certamente que toda a minha geração se lembra da música enquanto a Jennifer Grey e o Patrick Swayze dançam no final do filme Dirty Dancing (1987), em Portugal, Dança Comigo. A música foi composta por Franke Previte, John DeNicola e Donald Markowitz, gravada por Bill Medley e Jennifer Warnes, e venceu o Globo de Ouro, o Grammy para melhor Duo e ainda o Óscar na categoria de Melhor Canção.

A primeira coisa que penso em relação a esta música é que adorava ver isto ao vivo, a segunda é que provavelmente não ia sobreviver a um concerto deles. "The Number of the Beast" é uma das minhas músicas preferidas de Iron Maiden que nunca me canso de ouvir.

Fado em Mim foi o primeiro álbum de Mariza e é também aquele que se tornou mais conhecido e, claro, o meu preferido no que ao fado diz respeito. A Amália Rodrigues será sempre a rainha, mas a Mariza é a grande fadista da actualidade. Embora considere "Barco Negro" uma música melhor, "Chuva" é a minha preferida. Abaixo, fica a música de um concerto que Mariza deu em Lisboa.
