A nova versão da famosa música "Beauty and the Beast", para o live action da Disney com o mesmo título, é interpretado por Ariana Grande e John Legend e já tem vídeo com os cantores. A música, que chegou a vencer o Óscar de Melhor Canção Original em 1992, tinha sido interpretada por Celine Dion e Peabo Bryson na versão final da Banda Sonora do filme de Animação de 1991.

"Flashlight" foi gravada pela Jessie J para a Banda Sonora do filme Pitch Perfect 2 (2015). A música foi escrita por Sia Furler, Christian Guzman, Jason Moore e Sam Smith e tornou-se um sucesso graças ao filme.

Never Let You Down

"Never Let You Down" fará parte da Banda Sonora do filme Insurgent, o segundo filme da trilogia Divergent. A música é uma colaboração entre Woodkid e Lykke Li. O filme estreia a 20 de Março a nível mundial.

Hooked On A Feeling

"Hooked On A Feeling" é uma música de 1968 escrita por Mark James e interpretada pela primeira vez por B. J Thomas. Em 1974, uma versão dos Blue Swede chegou a número um nos E.U.A. Essa versão, juntamente um conjunto único de músicas antigas, tornaram-se um sucesso por fazerem parte da banda sonora do filme da Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).

Yellow Flicker Beat

"Yellow Flicker Beat" faz parte da banda sonora do filme The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. É a primeira música de Lorde desde o seu primeiro álbum, Pure Heroine (2013) que se tornou uma grande sucesso. Parece que a menina vai ter mais um sucesso, considerando  filme que promete ser uma das maiores bilheteiras do ano.

Creio que esta música já se encontra algures aqui no blogue (não tenho a certeza e já são muitos posts para ir verificar), mas esta música leva-me sempre para o meu lado mais lamechas. O filme que fez uma geração inteira de raparigas sonhar, tornou a música "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" um sucesso a nível mundial, particularmente famoso nos karaokes. O que esta música tem de particular é que nunca me cansei de a ouvir. Posso ficar algum tempo sem a ouvir, mas volta e meia, sabe bem ouvir de novo.

Mas certamente que toda a minha geração se lembra da música enquanto a Jennifer Grey e o Patrick Swayze dançam no final do filme Dirty Dancing (1987), em Portugal, Dança Comigo. A música foi composta por Franke Previte, John DeNicola e Donald Markowitz, gravada por Bill Medley e Jennifer Warnes, e venceu o Globo de Ouro, o Grammy para melhor Duo e ainda o Óscar na categoria de Melhor Canção.
