Elle é um thriller psicológico realizado por Paul Verhoeven com produção francesa, alemã e belga. O argumento foi escrito por David Birke baseado no romance Oh... (2012) de Philippe Dijan, que recebeu o Prix Interallié (Prémio Nacional de Literatura em França). O filme estreou-se na competição pela Palma de Ouro do Festival de Cinema de Cannes em 2016.

Michele parece indestrutível. Responsável de uma grande empresa de jogos de vídeo, gere os seus compromissos como a sua vida sentimental: com mão de ferro. A sua vida transforma-se na noite em que é agredida em sua casa por um misterioso desconhecido. Quando consegue descobrir o rasto desse homem, ambos entram num estranho e excitante jogo – um jogo que, a qualquer momento, pode ficar fora de controlo.

The Girl on the Train (A Rapariga no Comboio em Portugal) tornou-se num fenómeno de vendas impressionante. Lançado em 2015, o primeiro livro de Paula Hawkins é um bestseller que chegou a ocupar durante vinte semanas o primeiro lugar no top de vendas no Reino Unido. Chega agora aos cinemas a adaptação do livro num filme realizado por Tate Taylor e com argumento de Erin Cressida Wilson.

Confesso que quando vi o primeiro trailer não fiquei particularmente impressionada. É o tipo de livro que precisa de uma adaptação muito boa para conseguir transmitir todo o suspense e paranóia que caracterizam o livro e a personagem principal. Apesar de terem escolhido a Emily Blunt para o papel de Rachel, actriz que gosto bastante, acho que deve ser um livro bastante difícil de adaptar com sucesso.

Rachel é alcoólica e vive atormentada e inconsolável desde o divórcio de Tom, o seu ex-marido que a trocou por uma mulher mais jovem. Sem grandes perspectivas de melhorar, Rachel passa a sua viagem diária no comboio a caminho do emprego a tecer fantasias sobre um casal aparentemente perfeito que vive numa casa por onde o comboio passa, não muito longe da sua antiga casa. Um dia, vê acontecer algo que a perturba e envolve-se num mistério que se vai desenrolando de forma inesperada e Rachel acaba por se envolver na investigação de um homicídio.

Está quase a estrear a nova série de ficção científica do canal CBS. A série terá 13 episódios e Steven Spielberg é um dos produtores executivos juntamente com Brooklyn Weaver, Justin Falvey e Darry Frank. Extant é um drama emocionante sobre uma astronauta que volta à Terra depois de uma missão de um ano no espaço, que tenta voltar a ligar-se ao seu marido e ao seu filho no seu dia a dia. Quando regressa, Molly Woods, descobre que está inexplicavelmente grávida, e as suas experiências no espaço e em casa vão conduzir a acontecimentos que vão alterar o curso da história da humanidade.

Parece que a série se inspirou em Gravity (2013), terá elementos de Rosemary's Baby (1968) e aborda temas como as relações familiares e a velha questão se as máquinas podem ser humanas. No trailer fica ideia que será mais uma série de suspense quase a entrar no horror. Vou certamente ver assim que estiver disponível, fiquei curiosa em relação a este projecto.
