A 21º cerimónia dos Critics's Choice Awards para Cinema e Televisão teve lugar Domingo, dia 17 de Janeiro de 2016 com transmissão do canal A&E e com apresentação de T. J. Miller. Os grandes vencedores foram Spotlight e Mad Max: Fury Road em cinema; e Fargo, Master of None e Mr. Robot em televisão.

O mais recente filme de Alejandro G. Iñarritu, The Revenant (em português The Revenant: O Renascido), é baseado parcialmente no livro de Michael Punke, The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge e inspirado nas experiências de Hugh Glass. O filme venceu três Golden Globes na categoria de Melhor Filme Dramático, Melhor Realizador para Iñarritu e Melhor Actor para Leonardo Dicaprio. Para além disso, é o filme mais nomeado para os Óscares deste ano com 12 nomeações ao todo.

Numa expedição pelo desconhecido território selvagem americano, o lendário explorador Hugh Glass é brutalmente atacado por um urso quando o seu grupo tenta escapar aos ataques dos nativos. Devido às dificuldades de avançar no terreno quando o tentam transportar, é deixado pelos seus companheiros de caça na companhia de apenas três membros do grupo no qual estão incluídos o seu filho Hawk e o caçador John Fitzgerald que defende que a melhor forma de lidar com a situação é matá-lo. No entanto, quando o tenta matar é surpreendido pelo filho de Glass e acaba por matá-lo a ele, deixando Glass ainda vivo quando se vai embora. Glass resiste a um sofrimento inimaginável, guiado pelo instinto de sobrevivência, pela sede de vingança e pelo amor da sua família e enfrenta um Inverno rigoroso numa busca incessante pela sobrevivência e redenção.

Anomalisa é o mais recente filme de Charlie Kaufman desta vez numa colaboração com Duke Johnson a nível da realização, sendo que Kaufman também escreveu o argumento este drama em formato stop-motion. A  crítica está a ser muito boa e o filme foi nomeado para o Golden Blobe e para o Óscar na categoria de Melhor Filme de Animação e para cinco Annie Awards. Para além disso tornou-se o primeiro filme de animação a vencer o Grand Jury Prize no 72ª edição do Venice International Film Festival.

O filme conta a história de Michael Stone, marido, pai, e respeitado autor de "Como Posso Ajudá-lo a Ajudá-los?", que é um homem magoado com a mundanidade da sua vida. É numa viagem de negócios a Cincinnati, onde irá falar numa convenção de profissionais de apoio ao cliente, que fica fascinado com a possibilidade de escapar ao desespero através de uma modesta vendedora, Lisa, que pode ou não, ser o amor da sua vida.

Nomeações 2016

Houve duas grandes surpresas nas nomeações aos Óscares deste ano: a primeira são as 12 nomeações no filme Revenant, que ganhou o Golden Globe de Melhor Filme Dramático há poucos dias; a segunda são as 10 nomeações de Mad Max: Fury Road, que mesmo assim não recebeu nomeação para Charlize Theron como Melhor Actriz, uma pena! Ainda só vi metade metade dos filmes nomeados, mas o meu preferido é, sem qualquer sombra de duvida, Mad Max: Fury Road. Seria fantástico se o filme vencesse os Óscares de Melhor Filme e Melhor Realizador.

É com grande pena minha que Ex Machina não faz parte dos nomeados, nem na categoria de Melhor Filme, nem na categoria de Melhor Actriz Secundária para Alicia Vikander (ela está nomeada pelo The Danish Girl, mas brilha mais em Ex Machina). De destacar as fracas nomeações na categoria de Melhor Música, é isto o que consideram melhor? E ainda a frustração de alguns americanos que acham que Star Wars: The Force Awakens merecia mais nomeações. Já houve muitos anos em que a Academia ignorou excelentes filmes de ficção científica. Não é o caso. Ignorou o grande filme do ano de ficção científica, Ex Machina. Americanos, acordem para a vida, o novo filme de Star Wars é demasiado mediado para sequer ser considerado para os Óscares, quanto mais categoria de Melhor Filme! Nem sei se merece o Óscar de Melhores Efeitos Visuais para o qual está nomeado e que certamente ganhará. 

Entre os esquecidos estão ainda Quentin Tarantino na categoria de Melhor Filme e Realizador por The Hateful Eight; Will Smith por Concussion e Johnny Depp por Black Mass na categoria de Melhor Actor; Emily Blunt por Sicario na categoria de Melhor Actriz; não nomearam Straight Outta Compton para Melhor Filme (já houve quem acusasse a Academia de racismo, dizendo que as nomeações são demasiado brancas); não houve qualquer nomeação para Beasts of No Nation, que merecia  nomeações para Abraham Attah como Melhor Actor e para Idris Elba como melhor Actor Secundário; e não nomearam Jacob Tremblay por Room como Melhor Actor Secundário.

A cerimónia da 88ª Edição dos Óscares terá lugar a 28 de Fevereiro de 2016  no Dolby Theatre em Hollywood, na Califórnia. A cerimónia será transmitida pelo canal ABC com apresentação de Chris Rock (que apresenta pela segunda vez), e nessa altura iremos tirar todas as dúvidas sobre quem serão os vencedores e os vencidos.

A Passadeira Vermelha dos Golden Globe Awards

O vestido da Olivia Wilde era o melhor de todos. Tive de colocar a Alicia Vikander porque ela neste momento é uma das minhas actrizes preferidas e aquele vestido fica-lhe tão bem. No terceiro lugar está a Jamie Alexander que estava fabulosa. Ainda no Top 10 fica a Zandaya, cujo vestido tem um corte lindíssimo, assim como o da Kirsten Dunst. O vestido da Saoirse Ronan é simples, mas também tem um corte fabuloso e o da Jennifer Lawrence é bastante original numa cor que adoro. A Amber Heard surpreendeu com aquela cor e ainda uma nota para os vestidos da Jenna Dewan Tatum que aparece sempre com vestidos lindíssimos na passadeira vermelha. Depois, é sempre a descer, com alguns vestidos muito feios já mais para o fim.
