Locus Awards

Vencedores 2014


A revista Locus já anunciou os vencedores dos Locus Awards de 2014. Os vencedores foram anunciados este fim-de-semana em Seattle, Washington. James S.A. Corey venceu a categoria de Melhor Romance de Ficção Científica com Abaddon's Gate, livro que tem merecido algum destaque nos sites dedicados à Ficção Científica e cujas críticas têm sido boas. Neil Gaiman venceu dois prémios: na categoria de Melhor Romance de Fantasia com The Ocean at the End of the Lane e na Categoria de Melhor Novelette com “The Sleeper and the Spindle”. Destaque ainda para o Melhor Primeiro Romance para Ancillary Justice de Ann Leckie que tem vencido vários prémios ao longo deste ano.

O livro de Neil Gaiman está traduzido por cá pela Editora Presença com o título O Oceano no Fim do Caminho, mas seria interessante se mais editoras pegassem em alguns destes livros e os traduzissem por cá. O mesmo vale para as histórias de ficção curta, mas creio que aí seria mais complicado devido à fraca quantidade de publicações que existem do género.
