Outlander

Séries Fantásticas


Já há um pequeno novo trailer para a série Outlander baseada nos livros de Diana Gabaldon. A série romântica de ficção científica escrita e produzida por Ronald D. Moore, que irá estrear em 2014 no canal Starz, segue a história de Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), uma enfermeira de combate durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, que viaja no tempo para o ano de 1743 onde é imediatamente inserida num mundo desconhecido de aventuras onde a sua vida é ameaçada constantemente. Quando é forçada a casar-se com Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), um jovem cavalheiro e romântico guerreiro escocês, começa uma apaixonante relação que divide o seu coração entre dois mundos e dois homens, em duas vidas completamente diferentes.

Grammys


Confesso que os Grammys não são os meus prémios preferidos e a música lá premiada também não será a minha preferida, uma vez que gosto mais de ver alguns blogues e sites sobre o que melhor de música se faz e por preferir descobrir algumas bandas através de conhecidos e da Internet. Mas vale a pena falar dar aqui uma pequena palavra sobre o assunto e mostrar os nomeados e vendores da 56ª Edição dos Grammys.

As categorias são muitas, a cerimónia foi longa, mas parece que s prémios não trouxeram nada novo. Houve muitas actuações, Queen Latifa casou vários casais em directo, e ainda houve tempo para uma polémica relacionada com corte da transmissão quando a última actuação da noite ainda decorria, levando o cantor Trent Reznor ficar bastante chateado com a organização e transmissão dos prémios.

Os grande vencedores desta edição foram os Daft Punk, que levaram quatro Grammy, incluindo o de Melhor Álbum do Ano por "Random Access Memories" e o prémio de Música do Ano foi para "Royals" de Lorde que tem apenas 17 anos. A Culpa é das Estrelas é a adaptação cinematográfica do romance com o mesmo nome de John Green publicado em 2012 e que se tornou um bestseller. 
 
O romance conta a história de Hazel e Gus, dois adolescentes que se conhecem num grupo de apoio para pessoas com cancro e outras doenças. Hazel tem cancro de tiróide com metástases e Gus está em remissão de um tumor maligno nos ossos (osteossarcoma) depois de ter perdido uma perna. Para além disso também partilham o desdém pelo que é convencional. Apesar de todas as dificuldades que os rodeiam, este jovem casal apaixona-se e vive uma história de amor marcada pelas dificuldades inerentes à doença. Existe ainda o enorme desejo de Hazel de conhecer o escritor de um livro que ela leu e que a marcou principlamente por este não ter um fim e ela nunca saber o que aconteceu às personagens do livro.
 
O livro, marcado por uma escrita simples e directa que se lê rapidamente, deve ter arrancado muitas lágrimas a muita gente que leu esta história triste, que mostra um mundo muitas vezes desconhecido para a maior parte da pessoas e que dá uma pequena ideia do que os doentes de cancro adolescentes têm de enfrentar quando algo completamente inesperado lhe muda a vida para sempre. Dá também um pouco de esperança a quem acredita no amor e acredita que é possível aproveitar qualquer oportunidade que a vida nos dá, mesmo em condições extraodinárias, e mesmo quando ela está tão perto de nos tirar tudo a qualquer momento.

Cinema Fantástico

Karen Gilian (Doctor Who) e Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Balactica) são as protagonistas de Oculus, um filme de terror dos mesmos criadores de Paranormal Activity

Parece qua há muita gente na Internet entusiasmada com o facto de o filme ter as duas actrizes que são bastante conhecidas pelas respectivas séries de ficção científica que as tornaram famosas. 

No filme, a personagem da Karen Gilian está a tentar ilibar o seu irmão de uma acusação de homicídio ao tentar provar que o crime foi cometido por um fenómeno sobrenatural. Bem, a premissa não é muito apelativa, mas as imagens parecem interessantes.
 
O filme estreia a 14 de Abril nos E.U.A.
